South Flaw
It doesn’t right all of the wrongs done to us, but it helps.
Life isn’t always easy for lefties like us. Sure, our south-pawed approach doesn’t affect our ability to walk or breath or sleep or do many other necessary day-to-day things. In fact, our lives go on mostly un-hindered.
But there are those little things that really get us. Like, taking guitar lessons; even the most seasoned right-handed teacher will be given pause by the alien, seemingly upside-down way that we hold our instrument. And then there’s eating in a booth; if you don’t think about the positioning before you sit down, you and your righty neighbor may end up enjoying a meal full of awkward nudges as you work your knives and forks in opposite directions.
So yes, we’re often overlooked and uncomfortable. But not always. Like with this Samsung SwitchGrip HD Camcorder, for example. Not only does it have all the trimmings of a fine camcorder – a 2.7” wide LCD screen, the ability to capture video in 1920 x 1080/60i HD, Optical Image Stabilization, etc. – but it also features SwitchGrip technology, which means you can hold it with your right or left hand.
Maybe Samsung CEO Lee Kun-hee is one of us, or maybe he just knows that he can win us over with nothing more than a modicum of convenience. But hey, whatever the reason, all that really matters is the acknowledgment, right?
