Rule the Kingdom comes to iOS: Here are some tips to get you started
Back in April, we brought you a detailed look at InnoWate's Rule the Kingdom on Android, a game that combined the worlds of strategy RPGs and city-builders, allowing you to build and rule over a Kingdom as an amnesiac warrior that knows little else. You'll have to eliminate threats to your throne along the way, and can explore the far reaches of the land while your workers are completing standard tasks back at home.
While the game had been available only on Android up until now, InnoWate and Game Insight have announced the game's launch on iOS. Starting today, iPad players can download Rule the Kingdom HD for free and start their own journeys to medieval domination, while the iPhone version of the game is expected to release on the iTunes App Store on June 28 (that's tomorrow, if you're keeping track).
Whether you're new to Rule the Kingdom or consider yourself a seasoned pro, we've received some tips straight from the developer that will help you up your game. Good luck!
General Tips
Always Be Harvesting - Because harvesting doesn't cost food (or energy, or other resources), there's no real downside to keeping your villagers chopping trees or chipping away at stone. Don't worry about harvested resources piling up. As long as you have built a stockpile in your village, your stockpile's helpful goblin worker will automatically carry your harvest to be stored for building.
Watch Your Production - Valuable harvested resources and crafted goods take a while to make. While Rule The Kingdom helpfully restarts your villagers' and craftsmen's projects automatically as soon as their current work is complete, the best way to make efficient use of production is to make sure you harvest your products as soon as they're ready. That way they can quickly be set to work on their next project. Also, in some cases, you may need to change your next production project, such as changing your baker's current project to a higher-level product from a cookie to a donut once you've researched a higher-level soldier in your barracks. Be sure to also keep an eye on resource nodes such as lumber trees and stone piles. If you deplete a node, regrow it as soon as possible so that you can get right back to harvesting!
Watch Your Quest Log - Your current available quests appear as icons on the left side of the screen. While you've always got new areas to explore and tasks to perform in your kingdom, performing quests net you valuable rewards in gold, experience, and resources that will speed you on your way.
Don't Be Afraid to Travel - You don't always have to stay in one place. Use the compass icon in the upper-right corner of the screen to travel to and from adventure areas, neighboring kingdoms, and your own domain whenever you want, even when you're in a dangerous adventure area.
Search Everything While Adventuring - While adventuring, you may notice ruins, rubble piles, and abandoned towers. Be sure to tap them to search them. The extra moments you spend combing through the ruins could net you some valuable orbs to help you in battle.
First You Get the Crystals, Then You Get the Power - Crystals are rare resources that gradually accrue in your coffers as you play (but you can also purchase them directly at any time if you prefer). Spending crystals can speed up production, gathering, and upgrades, and can also be used to purchase higher-end soldiers and structures. Use them wisely!

Combat and Adventuring Tips
Get the Best Troops Available - Your character's career as part of an adventuring party begins when you construct your first barracks (and later, an archery range, a tavern, and a wizard's tower). Be sure to commission the most powerful troops you have available, since they'll survive longer and save you the time and expense of having to eventually replace them. Over time, you will need to change the type of goods your baker is producing in order to hire more-powerful troops.
Equip the Right Orb for the Right Situation - Green orbs of protection are generally good choice for standard adventuring, since their additional defense bonuses help you mitigate the nicks and cuts you'll sustain while fighting lower-level enemies. However, you may want to consider using red orbs of striking to give you an extra damage bonus when fighting the game's boss monsters, since they have much more health to whittle away.
Save Your Magic Spells for Boss Fights - You gain magic spell power gradually over time, and though it might be tempting to use a powerful spell on a weak skeleton to blast it to bits, it's definitely a better idea to save these extremely damaging tools for use against boss monsters, who have much more health and deal much more damage.
Defeat Bosses Quickly! - On a related note, boss monsters are hazardous to your health! The longer boss monsters survive in a fight, the more damage they can do to you and your party. Use damage orbs and magic spells to knock these brutes out before they can do the same to you.
Watch Your Health - Your character's health appears in the upper-left corner of the screen, while your companions' health appears in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Courage Is the Better Part of Valor - That's a fancy way of saying, "don't be afraid to run." Remember that you can tap the compass icon in the upper-right corner of the screen to switch to the world map view which will let you flee from any battle instantly and avoid having your character's health reduced to zero and fall in battle.
Death and Taxes - If you do fall in battle, your character returns to your own kingdom and cannot venture forth until you have at least one health point, but you can, at least, tend to civic affairs.

The word "Atari" is synonymous with a lot if things--Pong, Breakout, Asteroids ... the birth of home gaming in general, really. But a look at the company today, coming from what it was, is enough to make heads spin. A long 40 years ago, Atari ushered in a new era of home entertainment. Today, the company is a mobile game publisher looking to reignite that spark on tiny screens.And thanks to some particularly talented developers, some of that spark has already been set aflame again. So, as Atari looks toward (hopefully) another 40 years of gaming, what better way to celebrate than to look back before setting off? (And don't worry, Atari doesn't leave out its numerous sell-offs, changing of hands and that E.T. game.)
You might think you know Atari, but did you know that the late Steve Jobs of Apple fame developed the original Breakout ... and his buddy Steve Wozniak designed it? Bubble Safari Multiplayer: Everything you need to know
While this morning's official announcement of FarmVille 2, along with the reveals of ChefVille and TheVille were definitely exciting, Zynga's Unleashed press event also came with news players can enjoy right now (rather than waiting): Bubble Safari now has multiplayer!
If you head to Zynga.com, you can experience this multiplayer right now, by simply loading into Bubble Safari and clicking on the bottom button of three, located on the right side of the screen. The button you're looking for is a game pad with yellow, red, blue and green circles, as seen below.
From there, just click on the large blue "Play Now" button to see the Bubble Safari gameplay area transform, as you're given the opportunity to play with strangers in a "Quick Match." Eventually, we'll be able to play with our zFriends or Facebook friends as well, but for right now, random play is all that's available.
Each Quick Match sees you going up against three players in real time in a 90 second effort to earn the most points. You'll each have your own boards to play, which are comprised of limitless amounts of bubbles and plenty of beehives. These beehives have timers, which send bees down to attack your cannon every few shots, causing you to fire a few bubbles in random direction (something you can't control), adding to the challenge. You'll be able to track your competitors' progress, as the in-game leaderboard updates as your scores fluctuate. At the end of a match, you'll be able to challenge your competitors to a rematch, or can back out and look for a new set of competitors or go into the single-player game.
While Bubble Safari is the first game to offer real-time multiplayer on Zynga.com, we know it won't be the last. We'll make sure to bring you all of the news surrounding future multiplayer experiences as soon as we learn more. Stay tuned!

FarmVille Reward Cards: Everything you need to know
If you're one that routinely purchases lots of premium animals and trees in FarmVille, your incentive to continue doing so has jumped up dramatically via the introduction of the new "Reward Cards" system in the game. Similar to cards you might have for real world stores in your purse or wallet, these Reward Cards are punch cards of sorts, that will keep track of your in-game shopping habits and will reward you accordingly.In both the case of the Animal Reward Card and the Tree Reward Card (please note that these are separate, so all purchases are tracked separately), you'll need to purchase 10 animals or 10 trees at their regular Farm Cash prices, and will receive a single stamp (or punch) on your card until you've earned 10 in all. Once you've hit that point, you'll receive a free animal or tree (depending on which card type you actually completed), with a value of up to 26 Farm Cash. The way this is displayed in the game, it's unclear whether we'll get to choose our free prize, or if it will be generated for us, but we've reached out to Zynga for clarification on the matter. Stay tuned for more!

FarmVille Flower Garden: Everything you need to know
While we've already brought you a look at the new Single and Full Bloom flower feature in FarmVille, this new way to play has one more major element: a Bloom / Flower Garden. Just as an Orchard stores trees, the Flower Garden will store Flower Blooms (both Single and Full Blooms can be stored). If you store Blooms inside these Flower Gardens, they'll never wither, but can still be "harvested." Of course, you'll need to collect building materials to manually construct a Flower Garden before putting one to good use.
You'll need to collect 10 Flower Ties, 10 Gardening Edging and 10 Trellises to complete the first stage of the Flower Garden, and as you might expect, these items can be earned by asking your friends to send them to you, or by purchasing them with Farm Cash. Once you've finished the first construction phase, you'll have a Flower Garden that can hold 20 different Blooms. If you collect 10 more of each of the three materials, you'll upgrade to Level 2 with a capacity of 30 Blooms. Upgrade once more (using another 30 building ingredients), and you'll reach the maximum capacity of the Flower Garden: 40 Blooms.
Not only can you use the Bloom / Flower Garden for storage, but you can also go inside a specialized menu to look at your flowers in a much larger size. This is similar to many animal storage buildings, in that you'll be able to see all potential flowers that can be stored inside (with ones you don't own being "grayed out," which can serve as a sort of checklist for your collection-making needs.
