Disney Animal Kingdom Explorers Toy Store: Everything you need to know
The third scene in Chapter 4 of Disney Animal Kingdom Explorers is called Toy Store, and it's an interesting combination of finding regular items and actual animals. That is, you'll still be finding tons of animals hidden on the toy store's shelves, but they're in the form of stuffed animals and other toys! Even though these animals aren't really "alive," you can still use the animal specific hints for a clue as to their appearance, or you can just follow along with our guide as we work to show you the locations of this scene's many, many items. The latest scene in Disney Animal Kingdom Explorers - Kodiak - is incredibly lovely, combining both land-based and underwater critters via its split view of both habitats. You'll be able to find mammals and birds above the water, while fish and crabs await in the river. Since the variety of animals here is extremely high, make sure to use those animal specific hints if you have stuck figuring out one bird or fish from the next. Fans of Jetpack Joyride have been waiting for over a month for the latest update to hit Halfbrick's insanely popular freemium mobile game, but the wait is finally over, as Version 1.3 is now available to download on your iPhone or iPad, allowing the highly anticipated "Gadgets" feature to finally see the light of day. There are five new sets of gadgets in all, with each being unlocked with anywhere from 2,000 - 6,500 coins, but their exact purposes might be a bit confusing at first glance. That being the case, we're here with an explanation for all of Barry Steakfries' new toys.
Sector 1: Research and Development
- Air Barrys - 3,500 coins - These shoes will allow you to boost Barry off of the ground and into the middle of the screen much more quickly than a jetpack would allow you to rise alone. They are incredibly appropriate when trying to dodge an incoming missile at the bottom of the screen, or to quickly jump up and grab a free spin token or power-up.
- Nerd Repellent - 2,000 coins - This removes all scientists from the game, and replaces them with bouncing tumbleweeds. Spiderwebs also appear on the walls. Make sure to remove this gadget if trying to complete missions that as you to "high five scientists."
- Insta-Ball - 4,000 coins - When you lose a game, this bouncy ball will surround Barry and allow you to bounce along for a few extra meters to increase your score. This can only be used once per game.
Sector 2: Fringe Science
- Gravity Belt - 5,000 coins - This causes Barry to fall back to the bottom of the screen much faster than he would normally.
- Missile Jammer - 5,000 coins - This gadget removes the threats of missiles by causing them to turn into a poof of smoke at the last second.
- Token Gift - 5,000 coins - This gadget causes a spin token to appear at the beginning of each game, which can be collected without having to worry about obstacles blocking your path.
Sector 3: Pseudoscience Action Group
- Freeze-O-Matic - 3,000 coins - When you lose a game, Barry becomes encased in a block of ice that slides along the ground, adding extra meters to your score. This gadget can only be used once per game.
- X-Ray Specs - 4,500 coins - This passive ability allows you to see which vehicles (Profit Bird, Mr. Cuddles, etc.) are contained inside power-ups, and also allows you to see through the scientists' clothing (don't worry, it's all very PG).
- Gemology - Turns some gold coins into red gems, which are worth many more gold coins. This is incredibly useful when challenged with a mission that asks you to collect a certain number of coins.
Sector 4: Futureologist Lounge
- Ezy-Doge Missiles - 5,500 coins - Missiles will travel much more slowly across the screen.
- Magnetic Tokens - 4,500 coins - Spin tokens will travel towards Barry, greatly reducing the amount of effort you'll need to expend to pick them up.
- Flying Pig - 6,000 coins - Flying piggy banks will appear on the screen, heading in the same direction as Barry. Touching them breaks them open, causing coins to randomly scatter on the screen. You'll know you're approaching one when you see a small trail of coins appear on the bottom of the screen.
Sector 5: Testing Zone
- Free Ride - 5,000 coins - This gadget causes you to start the game in a random vehicle power-up, like the Profit Bird, Bad As Hog, etc.
- Coin Magnet - 6,000 coins - This turns Barry in to a coin magnet, with an area of effect that is much smaller than those on magnetized vehicle power-ups.
- Lucky Last - 5,500 coins - This gadget causes your final spin token in every game grant you an automatic random prize. You'll only receive one of these guaranteed prizes per game, regardless of how many coins you've collected along the way.
You'll need to purchase each power-up individually, and will unlock each Sector one after another. That is, you can't immediately purchase the Coin Magnet upgrade, but will instead need to purchase Gadgets from each of the above sectors before you'll unlock it. Additionally, you can only have two Gadgets active at once, but they can be any combination of those listed above.
Needless to say, if you've deleted Jetpack Joyride from your device in the past, the new gadgets available in Version 1.3 are more than enough reason to re-download the game, and even give it a permanent place on your iPhone or iPad. There are Gadgets for most every scenario you could find yourself in while playing (especially if you're trying to complete missions), so make sure to try them all and find the ones that work best for you.

Mmmm ... donuts: Will Angry Birds Space enter The Simpsons' orbit?
As if Rovio's furious, feathered fowl didn't have enough friends to journey into space with. Now, TechCrunch reports that The Simpsons may pay the Angry Birds a visit in their newest game, Angry Birds Space. Since the mobile hit's newest update went live yesterday, the next world in the Angry Birds trajectory looks uncannily similar to Homer Simpson's favorite donut.You know, the one with the pink frosting and sprinkles? When players look at the world view screen in Angry Birds Space, they'll see between the new ice planet and the Golden Eggsteroid a pink-frosted donut peeking out of brown packaging. And considering the fact that Fox is already a partner with the Finnish game maker since its Rio-branded game, a promotion like this would make a whole lot of sense.
That's especially since sharp-eyed The Simpsons fans might remember that Angry Birds has been featured and mentioned on the long-running TV show more than once. If this supposed branded partnership goes well, Fox and Rovio could run with it into who knows what. With stuff like an Angry Birds cookbook floating around, it's clear that a deal between the two could go anywhere at this point. Who's up for Angry Birds donuts?

What you lied about is the candlepower. You claim it to be 85,000, but after lighting 85,000 candles in and around my garage, I can tell you that this a GROSS overestimate! The blaze of 85,000 candles is FAR brighter than this Flashcam!
Especially if, you know, one of the candles maybe falls over onto a cardboard box of old blankets and ends up maybe setting your whole garage on fire. Now, that’s a light that you can see for blocks! The Flashcam? Pshaw! It could barely get the attention of the cars driving by mere yards away. I’d shine it straight at them, and they would just keep driving along, pointing at my flaming garage, as if there was no man dressed in all black wearing a catcher’s mask waving a flashlight around!

Don Cornelius' Autopsy Report Reveals Years Of Suffering

Facebook may have to foot the bill for kids' Facebook Credit purchases
Never underestimate the wrath of an angry mother. Arizona mom Glynnis Bohannon has filed a class-action suit (PDF) against Facebook, seeking a refund for her son's Facebook Credit purchases and all those affected. The lawsuit rests on Facebook's terms of service requirement that forbids all users from providing false personal information when buying Facebook Credits, the social network's paid currency used to buy content in games and apps.If a customer's personal information is falsified even in part, the court--Facebook looks to make this a federal case--could rule that those Facebook Credits transactions are void and require a full refund. The lawsuit also targets Facebook's stance on minors using Facebook Credits: "If you are under the age of 18, you may make payments only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You should review these Payments Terms with a parent or guardian to make sure that you both understand them."
Not exactly an airtight solution. As VentureBeat points out, it could be simple to convince a judge that Facebook isn't doing its best at keeping customers from providing false information at purchase and ensuring that kids have their parents' consent before buying Facebook Credits. Just look at how Apple was all but forced to tweak its in-app purchases system after that Smurfs Village horror story. We've reached out to Facebook for comment.
Update: A Facebook spokesman has told us, "We believe this complaint is without merit and we will fight it vigorously."

Free is the way to be: Four in every 10 freemium players pay up
With numbers like that, it's no surprise that free-to-play (F2P) has become the de facto leading model in online gaming. According to GamesIndustry, The NPD Group latest report--titled "Insights into the Freemium Games Market"--has found that 40 percent of players of F2P games pay up for in-game content and items. Better yet (for freemium game makers), those free-to-paid player conversions typically happen within the first month of play. And unsurprisingly, women are way more likely to play a F2P game than men. What is surprising, however, is that the ladies "are among the least likely to pay for an upgrade," according to The NPD Group.
While a whopping 84 percent of F2P players continue to play their game of choice through the trial period, it's challenging to get those players to pay up. In fact, The NPD Group admitted that said games are designed with that in mind. "When designing a game, it's important to consider features that would drive quick conversion to pay," NPD industry analyst Anita Frazier.
Ultimately, The NPD Group comes to the conclusion that 38 percent of the U.S. population plays some form of F2P game. The only place these games are going is into the hands of more people.
